Samsung’s Recent Business Surge
Despite losing its top spot in student job preference, Samsung Electronics recently signed a record $16.5B foundry contract, pushing its share price above 70,000 KRW for the first time in 11 months. The contract alone accounts for 7.6% of Samsung’s 2024 revenue (300.9 trillion KRW)—making it the company’s largest single-customer deal to date.
Samsung has also secured a 4 trillion KRW supply deal with AMD for HBM3E memory chips, reaffirming its position as a major semiconductor powerhouse.
